CMJ Recap: Kid Daytona & Outasight Sets, 6th Sense Mixtape

Notherground and company stayed busy during last weekend's CMJ. Outasight ripped a set at the NahRight/OnSMASH showcase at B.B. Kings, Daytona dropped in for a surprise performance at the Duck Down event and, oh yeah, 6th Sense released an entire mixtape. Yondo. More info below...

After dropping Come Fly With Me this summer, Daytona's already back in the lab with producers like 6th Sense and Bink hard at work on his next album. Over the weekend, Daytona previewed a new track during a surprise set at the Duck Down CMJ showcase. Peep the video below.

Volume 1 contains songs that mainly feature 6th Sense on the mic as well as behind the boards. The overall feel is a more stripped down sound, with a focus on dense, multi-layered lyrics, with hardly any hooks or choruses.

Outasight Goes Off the Wall with Homebase

Outasight stars in the new episode of Miami Vice "Off the Wall" with Homebase and Hot Mop Films. He talks about the upcoming project, rolling with 6th Sense as two "funny looking white guys," and his career in politics ("I used to care"). Can't wait for the new album, whenever it happens.
