TSS Talks to The Kid Daytona

Daytona was shown love by the one and only TSS. This is the most in-depth coverage of The Kid you can find, TC from The Smoking Section digs deep into Daytona's past talking about everything from watching Michael Jordan movies as a kid, to growing up as an orphan to the influence that 6th Sense has had on his career. If you're looking for inspiration, read this.

Emilio Sparks Interviews Outasight, 6th Sense; Talk Race, Styling and... Muffs.

Emilio Sparks invited OU and 6th out to his radio show to talk about his upcoming album. After dealing with important issues like what it means to be a "new" artist in hip-hop and dealing with race as a musician the guys chilled out with a game of "guess that muff" that is pretty much not safe for work. What is "guess that muff"? It's summed up in this quote from 6th right here:

"Wait, is that... olive oil?"

Adele 1988 on Vinyl

It's been a minute since 6th Sense teamed up with Mick Boogie to remix songs from the Grammy Award-winning British singer Adele, but the project definitely hasn't been forgotten. 6th stopped by Columbia Records for a meeting last week, and one of their staff members showed him what you see in the pic above -- a full vinyl of the Adele 1988 project... dope. Apparently someone went out and pressed it up on their own -- mad props to him/her, good taste.

In case you missed it, here's the link to what might've been the best remix album of the year:

Daytona Soars! The Kid Daytona - Come Fly With Me (Full Download)

It feels like I've been talking about this forever. Nearly every other post has mentioned that on June 30th The Kid Daytona would be releasing his album Come Fly With Me. Well, today is June 30th, and, well, today the album drops.

Come Fly With Me features production from the likes of Double 0, 6th Sense, The Government, Ill Bomb and Jet Audio, along with guest spots from some superbly talented musicians like Bun B, Kardinal Offishall, Mickey Factz, Outasight, and Amanda Diva just to name a few. It's proof of Daytona's talent that, even with such a loaded roster of contributors, it never once feels like he's a guest on his own album. Daytona runs the show from the start -- just as he did last night at Greenhouse.

This has been a long, a long time coming, but I know, yes I know, you're going to f'ing dig this.

Without any further shenanigans, here's link:
