Outasight Delays Project, Drops New Single

Outasight was set to drop his new project sometime this week, the release is delayed, but he's keeping heads on the edge of their seats with a fresh release. When contacted about this breaking news, OU's friend , long-time collaborator, and producer of the leaked track, 6th Sense had this much to say: "no comment."

The song is "Catch Me If You Can" and it's a 6th Sense beat, yo.

Forget what you thought you knew. This joint off the NBA Live 10 soundtrack, "Mind Blowin'" featuring B.o.B and Mickey Factz with production from 6th Sense is outta control. 6th told me about this months ago and I been waiting to hear it ever since -- expectations met (and passed). The Noisettes x Kanye "Upset Lockdown" (prod. 6th Sense and Apple Juice Kid)

6th Sense and AJK have done it again. Grab this official remix track of The Noisettes below.

If you're not familiar, The Noisettes are a London trio who on any given track can give you a mix of punk, pop, blues-rock, jazz, funk, soul or electro. The band from the UK is preparing the U.S. release of their sophomore album, Wild Young Hearts next Tuesday (9/22). To help support the LP, Mick Boogie and Terry Urban reached out to OKP to co-present this project, The Noisettes versus Kanye West. The project will have Mick and his stable of producers redoing The Noisettes vocals over samples from Kanye's 808s and Heartbreak (playing on the common theme of "heart" in the titles). The final project will be ready in a few weeks. For now, here's the first leak "Upset Lockdown" ("Don't Upset The Rhythm" x "Love Lockdown") re-sampling by 6th Sense, Drums by Apple Juice Kid. - OkayPlayer

New Beat Thanks Jay-Z: 6th Sense - In the Garden

Jay-Z at MSG's Screamfest in '07.

From one CEO to another: Notherground's 6th Sense pays tribute to HOV.

In honor of Jay-Z tearing down Madison Square Garden for such a great cause, I present to you what is really a beat. But I feel it embodies the spirit of it all.

"Lyrics":
Uh oh, I really wanted that thing
I just want to sing
Uh oh
Find out in the garden

Peace,

Time Out NY - Behind the Scenes Photos at "Air Born"

Time Out NY's "The Volume" ran some behind the scenes photos of the "Air Born" video shoot. I spy... Hit the link for slide show.

Earlier this summer, The Kid Daytona put out Come Fly with Me, an excellent free-download release boosted by production from 6th Sense and other standout features. This past week, photographer Dan Dealy caught up with Daytona, Bun B, 6th and director Derek Pike at the video shoot for the Kid’s “Air Born.” Filmed sans permit downtown with EBC star Africa, the video teams two of the most laid-back MCs in the game with a rising-star director who has put together videos for the likes of Young Chris, Raekwon and Havoc.

VIDEO RELEASE: Daytona feat. Bun B - Air Born

Derek Pike of Three/21 Media put this joint together. Bun B is a straight G in this video. 6th Sense and the Community J.U.I.C.E. team make cameos.

Last week I shot the “Air Born” video for The Kid Daytona featuring Bun B. The beat which is produced by 6th Sense has this real mellow floaty vibe to it so I knew I wanted to shoot the majority of this video with someone or something floating in midair. Since shooting in outerspace wasn’t in the budget, I had to settle for NYC. Luckily, Daytona knew someone here on earth that could defy gravity for us, EBC star Africa. We shot the whole video at a little park downtown, no permits. Aside from having to work around screaming kids at camp, and a basketball leagues scheduled game everything went surprisingly smooth. Daytona and Bun B are two of the nicest and most laid back artists I have ever worked with. Shout outs to the Three/21 fam Rik, Nancy and Steve, Jamal, Owen, Jordan at Sneaktip, Dan, Evan, and of course Daytona, Bun B, 6th and Africa.

6th Sense - "Yeah" (New Track!)

The blogs are loving this one.

The Smoking Section: "Not to many producers can kick a flow as smoothly as they can turn the knobs on a soundboard but 6th Sense is learning to the become a Jedi Knight in both arenas of his wizardry..." (Read the rest here)

IllRoots: "6th Sense is one of the best producer/rappers out right now and if this is proof enough I don’t know what is." Damn.

Here's the track that got 'em jumping in the first place. Y'all should know that Outasight was handling the boards on this one...
