Donny Goines Preps 20X

Donny Goines has been one of the hardest working artists in the industry for the last year or so, doing shows everywhere from SXSW to the BK Hip-Hop Festival. He just locked up a deal with Rocksmith Tokyo to put out his new project 20X -- the follow-up to one of the dopest albums of '09 The Breakfast Club. Due out in February 20X features production from Apple Juice Kid, 6th Sense, M-Phazes and more. Check out the video below to hear him talk about the project, give props to Outasight, then, err, blank on 6th's name. All love though.

Outasight Cracks MTVu & SOB's Top 10!

All the hard work that the Notherground, Community Juice and PurfekStorm camps put in over the course of 09 is really getting its due.

First, SOB's (the dope venue in downtown NYC) put up a list of its Top 10 Shows of the Year -- Outasight was the supporting act for the #6 (Mateo) and #1 (Ryan Leslie) shows. Then, his video for "Good Evening" jumped back into MTVu's Top 10 Videos of the Week list -- it's still there at #8 -- not bad for a joint that's about a year old. I could've slipped this into the honor roll, but this really deserves its own post. The Smoking Section named Kid Daytona's Come Fly With Me one of the Fifteen Best Hip-Hop Albums of the year -- alongside efforts from Raekwon, Jay-Z, Snoop and Little Brother. Well deserved.
