The Kid Daytona Interview with Ashley Outrageous (Video)

The Hip Hop Chronicle Interviews 6th Sense

This took place at Downtown Studios in NY. We'll let Sumit at HHC explain:

First let me say that airing this interview has been LONG overdue and for that I do apologise.
This is one interview I did enjoy. 6th Sense is one dope fucking producer who I respect. Im constantly amazed at how he can flip a sample and the sounds he uses. His beats always make me get “the Jay-Z screwface”. And it was an honour and a pleasure to sit down with him in the studio.
In the clip below I ask 6th to break down his approach to his production. His response is insightful and it makes me aware of his process. So now anytime I hear a beat he’s produced from ”On The Hill” to “Air Born” to any new joint, I’ll know how he got to that point.
And to end the clip, I ask him to recount the first time he met The Kid Daytona.

Part 2:

In the clip below I play a word-association game.
6th Sense was allowed one word to describe rappers like Emilio Rojas, Donny Goines, Outasight and The Kid Daytona.
I then take the game to describe producers like Pete Rock, Nottz, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre, RZA, Exile and J Dilla.

HipHopDX says 6th Sense is Next

Excerpt:
The emcee/producer talks about Kid Daytona's upcoming mixtape, and how riding around with Outasight listening to Oldies and Classic Rock led to the duo's hits.

Don’t let the title of “producer” fool you when it comes to 6th Sense. While work behind the boards has been his forte since the turn of the new millennium, this New York transplant has made his mark as an emcee, deejay and remix aficionado, all the while collaborating with Hip Hop’s elite and rising stars alike. Over the course of this tireless journey, 6th Sense has rightfully earned the respect and praise from his peers without taking a major label route.

DXnext got the opportunity to ask 6th Sense about his work with close collaborator and Warner Brothers/Asylum rapper Outasight, as well as his production for The Kid Daytona’s much-anticipated LRG-sponsored mixtape The Interlude, due out next month. 6th Sense also reveals that fans can expect an album from him come 2011. Just remember, it ain’t official unless “It’s a 6th Sense beat yo!!”

Outasight Featured on iTunes

Holy Schnikes it's good to be back y'all. I've been buried in a proverbial mound of shit for the last three weeks, but in case it wasn't obvious: just because I'm slacking, it doesn't mean Notherground is... 6th Sense spun at the Red Bull Beat Battle in Philly, shot a couple of music videos, and somehow found time to start a Tumblr page (http://6thsenseyo.tumblr.com) and Outasight rocked a few shows, got named a "Summer Sensation" and then got featured on iTunes -- check the proof above and below.

Outasight Named a "XXS" Top Freshmen

White Boy Likes Hip-Hop? and HoldMyCoat teamed up to put together their own list of 2010's top ten freshmen. Outasight made the cut...

Outa won mtvU's Freshman, put out a dope EP with LRG, and recently signed to Asylum/Warner. On top of that, his creativity is on a complete different level than anyone I've heard in awhile. I would say with all that going on, he deserves a top 10 spot. And with the help of his producer, 6th Sense, OU will most likely continue to put out dope music and probably do well on the radio too.

6th gets on Good Fella...to talk about hydro planes, shampoo, and general hygiene? Gotta love it.

Outasight Cracks MTVu & SOB's Top 10!

All the hard work that the Notherground, Community Juice and PurfekStorm camps put in over the course of 09 is really getting its due.

First, SOB's (the dope venue in downtown NYC) put up a list of its Top 10 Shows of the Year -- Outasight was the supporting act for the #6 (Mateo) and #1 (Ryan Leslie) shows. Then, his video for "Good Evening" jumped back into MTVu's Top 10 Videos of the Week list -- it's still there at #8 -- not bad for a joint that's about a year old. If you haven't had a chance to peep it yet, do it right here:
